Breeding Program

Horses have been on the farm forever - in the old times they were used to pull. There was also an intensiv breeding program: In 1926, Florett by Fling , a home bred became a Celle stallion.

With the marriage of Juergen Clasen and Beate Meyer in 1963 the mare Worms came to the farm and founded a new breeding program. She was bred mostly to Absatz and had some very influential offspring by him. The stallions Argentan I (Celle) and Argentan II were born on the farm as well as several States Premium mares(SPS). Also the sire Western Star comes from this mare family and was raised in Hiddestorf. Today we have two grand and one great grand daughter of Worms as brood mares:

A very elegant, big framed mare with super ridability (MPT 7.95) by the great Donnerhall. Deleila gave birth to a few very good foals from Stedinger ( who went to BC, Canada), from Samarant ( a very good mare who turned 4 this year).

SPS Rosella ´00 by Rotspon - Prinzessin Asta . 

Rosella is a very elegant mare (inspection score for the head - a 10!) . She did a very good MPT with 889 for the gaits and 87 for ridability . 

This year she has a colt by Bonifatius, elegnat , correct with a super character and good gaits. For 2010 she is in foal to Bellstaff.

The futureof the farm: Very elegant and beautiful mare, very good MPT (final score 8.0 with 10`s for walk and canter).Received a 9 as an overall score at her inspection !

Great News from July 25 th 2002: She became Grand Champion  of the 2002 Ratje Niebuhr Show at Verden  (of the 4 to 6 year old mares)

Aug 18th:At the  German National Mare Show at Neustadt Dosse she was third in her class!!

In July she left Hof Clasen heading to Shreveport Louisiana - Congrats to Elisabeth P. on the purchase of this wonderful mare!
