Hof Clasen Hiddestorf

The Hanoverian branded and KWPN approved stallion Lancet has been proclaimed keur stallion leading up the 2012 KWPN Stallion Licensing which starts tomorrow in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
This year four stallions receive the Keur status but only one of them is a dressage stallion. The other fortunate sires are Oklund, Padinus and Hors La Loi. Negro (by Ferro) has been proclaimed preferent sire and is now keur preferent.
Lancet is bred by the Clasen family in Germany and is by Wenzel out of St. Pr. St Stella by Shogun xx x Absatz x Wohlan. Lancet came to the Netherlands as a youngster and was then owned by a syndicate including Jacques Marée and the Bartels family. After the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Lancet sold to Emma Hindle and became the anchor for the British team in the years to come.
Emma and Lancet competed at the 2005, 2007 and 2009 European Dressage Championships and the 2006 World Equestrian Games. They were seventh individually at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. They won team silver at the 2009 European Championships in Windsor. Lancet was retired from competition in July 2011 at the Hickstead World Dressage Masters.
Lancet's most renowned offspring includes the World Young Horse Champion and now international Grand Prix horse Uzzo (rider:Patrick van der Meer) and Grand Prix horses Stallone ( Anna Logutenkova), Salvador (Stephanie Peters), Ronaldo, and Silhouet. The small tour horse Rhapsody was first competed by Imke Schellekens-Bartels and is now a Pan Am team horse for Costa Rica. First Duke `08 hann stallion by First Dance - out of SPS Fabia) did pass his 30 day test at Schliekau until Dec 20th with a dressage score of 8.4 and an average score (jumping + dressage) of 7.47 . Bred by Marefield Meadows, born and raised under the ownership of Henk Glyn and D van Donsselaar at HofClasen he got licensed by the Hanoverian Verband in 2010. With this 30 day test he has now the full breeding license for 2012 for Hannover!

At the horse at Hickstead Lancet was retired in fron of the international crowd of spectators - the finish of a very successful life in the dressage areans in the world . 2 Olypics he finished succesfully - first with Imke Schellekens Bartes at Athens( 11th individually) and in 2008 at Hongkong he fisnihed 7th indiviadually under Emma Hindle.

They had a very succesful horse show season: Davino (´06 by  Dauphin - Raphae /SPS Ranis) and Anneke Fryen. She won a lot classes up to 2nd level dressage - congratulations and good luck for 2012!

Rienzi ´94 by Raphael - Bolero fully licensed for Hannover after he was tested in the US at November hill in 1997. An excellent canter, trot and walk with a strong but elastic back -  Rienzi produced some good hunters in the US but also some good dressage horsest. Since 2011 there is frozen semen available in Germany(through Tierklinik Barkhof in Sottrum, Dr. Leite) We have 3 mares in foal to this very interesting stallion. His full sister Ranis also produced some very interesting horses here at Hof Clasen.
